Welcome to Our Club!

The Breakfast Optimist Club of East Fort Worth is a 501c4 Club, and is one club in all of Optimist Interntaional.
Optimist International is a worldwide volunteer organization made up of more than 2,500 local Clubs whose Members work each day to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, in their communities, and in themselves.

The club is a project oriented organization currently involved with the following projects:

The Childhood Cancer Campaign’s mission is "being the leading force to rid the world of childhood cancer". Our members work with the Ronald McDonald House and Cook Children's Hospital by providing assistance for children and their families, making blankets, collecting bears and supporting research to find a cure.

The club sponsors an Oratorical & Essay Scholarship Contest annually that is designed to help kids develop writing and critical thinking skills and provide students with an opportunity to compete for a $2500 scholarship.

The club participates in the State side Young Texan/Texanne scholarshp Program - recognizing monthly two honorees from Nolan Catholic, Eastern Hills High School, Oakridge School & Temple Christian.  Honorees are sent on to compete at the District and State Level 

Other ongoing projects are a Partnership with the East Fort Worth 4H program, Adoption of Lowery Road Elementary, 
Tarrant County annual Trash Bash, Tarrant County Food Bank.

The club has built it's Junior Optimist clubs - forming at the following schools:  East Handley Elementary, West Handley Elementary, Meadowbrook Elementary, Oakridge Middle School, and Eastern Hills High School.  Students are taught leadership, public speaking & giving back to the community.
